RocketLanguange.com provides people from all over the world 6-day language courses that tackle the basics and the advanced levels of language learning. Depending on the language you are interested in, this website gives you the choice and the materials to practice, learn, and master some of the most popular and in-demand languages of today’s globalized world. For example, if you are planning on visiting Japan for a vacation trip, you can learn Japanese online to make the experience worthwhile. If you are an avid fan of artists and anime creators in Japan, you can learn the language by visiting Rocket Japanese in the subpages of the website.

Rocket Japanese is especially popular among people today, putting emphasis on those who constantly watch Japanese shows and listen to Japanese pop music, because the students would like to master the language and not have to keep searching for translations or reading the subtitles while watching. The product consists of seven components, each one tackling every aspect of learning the Japanese language: reading comprehension, writing, and speaking conversational Japanese. You begin with the basics, mastering basic conversational phrases and sentences, until such time that you are confident enough to speak the language in person. You will then move on to the next components until the course is finished and until you are confident enough to speak certain phrases out loud to other people.

Though there are many other Japanese-learning programs on the internet, Rocket Japanese has proven to be one of the best and most effective in the market. This can be seen through the customer testimonials, comments and reviews written by previous students of the program, and even the entire curriculum of the course located in the website. You’re not only learning how to speak conversational Japanese but also are learning how to read and understand the language as well. It may not be as effective as practicing and learning with an actual Japanese instructor, but it definitely beats having to watch so many anime shows or listen to Japanese songs over and over again just to learn in an unstable way.

Learning a new language, especially if it’s a language you’ve never tried to speak, write, and understand, is always a fun and exciting experience, but because of how expensive hiring a language tutor is and how rare it is to find a language course on the internet, the opportunities are limited. Many encounter bogus language learning programs and products online, making it more and more frustrating and difficult to find instructional materials ready for downloading. But as time went by, there have been several online programs offering effective language courses online and one of them is RocketLanguages.com. This website not only offers a free 6-day course to learn Japanese online, for example, but free 6-day courses for other popular languages such as Arabic, Hindi, French, Italian, German, and Chinese.

One of the most popular, for example, is the Rocket Japanese course. This is a language course package wherein students are exposed and trained by Japanese instructors to familiarize, memorize, and eventually master the language step by step. The package includes audio lessons, vocabulary lessons, lifetime access to the website’s different pages and features, online quizzes, culture lessons, and many more. This is a lot for a language course online and frankly, if bought from other vendors, it would cost within a range of $100 to $500. Fortunately though Rocketlanguages.com offers its premium language packages at affordable prices, which is one of the perks of learning from this particular program.

Another great advantage to learning with Rocket Japanese is that you’re not only learning how to speak conversational Japanese but are also learning how to read, understand, and also write the characters using the tools integrated in the program. You will also be exposed to culture lessons so that you’ll have an idea of what the Japanese life and culture is all about. This is a great feature to the program which many others lack, so if you want something more to your course than just speaking conversational phrases and sentences, this is the feature you should be looking for. Overall, Rocket Japanese is a great course to learn and understand the Japanese language.

If you just accidentally entered or intentionally searched for this site, I’m sure you are interested to learn Japanese online. Almost everything is made easier because of high technology. Even if you can’t understand a Japanese love song, listening to it can already relax your mind. How much more if you can understand the language? Before you learn to speak or to write the language, you must first know a little background about it.

Well, the written Japanese language is a mixture of Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. These are Japanese symbols used in writing. Kanji are characters which present a symbol to express an idea. It is easier if you start to learn writing in Kanji before you move on to Hiragana and Katakana. Hiragana characters can be used as symbols for names and logos while Katakana is used for words which are influenced by other foreign languages besides Chinese. Katakana is usually termed for proper names.

You can learn Japanese online easily on the net because there are available audios wherein the voice of a native speaking Japanese and the fluent English translator will guide you on the proper pronunciation of words and the use of words in phrases and sentences. Proper arrangement and tone of voice can easily be remembered because you will be participating in the conversation as well. Others provide guide books with audio tracks so that while listening, you can also make use of your visual learning skills to follow through the whole tutorial.

By knowing the language, you can use it during your travel, while making friends, dealing on a business transaction or enjoying the Japanese animation and games. It is fun, easy, innovative and rewarding to learn Japanese online.

The first step is to learn the alphabet. Or, at least, the sounds that exist in the Japanese language. There are absolutely no “tones” like in Chinese, Thai, etc. and there are only 2 exceptions within the alphabet which will be explained later. The characters listed below are called Hiragana. It is the main alphabet for Japanese. The Japanese language also consists of Chinese characters (Kanji), which we will get into later, and another alphabet, Katakana, which is mainly used for foreign words.

There are 5 vowels in the Japanese language. (a), pronounced “ahh”, (i), pronounced like “e” in “eat”, (u), pronounced like “oo” in “soon”, (e), pronounced like “e” in “elk”, and (o), pronounced “oh”. All Hiragana characters end with one of these vowels, with the exception of (n). The only “consonant” that does not resemble that of English is the Japanese “r”. It is slightly “rolled” as if it were a combination of a “d”, “r”, and “l”.

Exceptions:
1. は (ha) is pronounced “wa” when it immediately follows the topic of the sentence. It is usually only pronounced “ha” when it is part of a word.
2. へ (he) is pronounced “e” when it immediately follows a place or direction. Both of these are very simple to detect.

Katakana is mainly used for foreign words such as names and words that have been borrowed from other languages such as コンピューター (kompyu-ta- = computer). The Japanese language does not have as many sounds as the English language so, when creating a name in Katakana for instance, the name must be sound out to the closest Japanese equivalent. Katakana, Hiragana, and Furigana (when Hiragana is written small next to a Kanji character to show how that character is read) are collectively known as Kana.

Now that you’ve got the Japanese alphabets down, let’s learn some vocabulary words and simple phrases. I will list the Kanji, Hiragana, Romaji (the word sounded out using English letters), and the English meaning for each word or phrase. Most words have Kanji for them but I will only include the Kanji if the word is regularly written that way.

Keep in mind that the Japanese language has different levels of politeness that change based on who you are talking to. I will refer to these as “ultra-formal”, “formal” (or “polite form”), “normal” (or “plain form”), “informal”, and “rude” (we won’t be covering too much of the rude form, however).

Japanese grammar is quite simple and straight forward but very different from English grammar so most English speakers find it rather confusing. For instance, the verb always comes at the end. The best thing you can do when learning Japanese grammar is to learn it from the bottom up and not compare it to English grammar.

Japanese grammar uses what we will refer to as particles to mark the various parts of the sentence. The main particles are:

は

wa
(The Hiragana “ha” is pronounced “wa” when it immediately follows the topic)

topic marker

が

ga

subject marker

を

wo
(pronounced “o”)

direct object marker

に

ni

direction marker, time marker, indirect object marker

へ

e
(The Hiragana “he” is pronounced “e” when it immediately follows a place or direction)

direction marker

The particles “wa” (は) and “ga” (が): The particle “wa” marks the topic of the sentence and the particle “ga” marks the subject of the sentence. In the example, “I know where you live” (watashi wa anata ga doko ni sunde iru ka shitte iru), “I” would be the topic while “you” would be the subject.

Not all sentences have both a topic and subject and, in many cases, the topic is implied in Japanese (for example, the “I” (watashi wa) would be left out of this sentence because it is implied that since I am talking I am the one that knows where you live). Many Japanese books and teachers teach that “wa” and “ga” are the same thing and it doesn’t matter which you use when. This is not the case but I wouldn’t worry too much about keeping them straight at first.

The particle “wo” (を): The particle “wo” (or “o”) marks the direct object of the sentence. In the example, “I’m going to take her home” (watashi wa kanojo wo ie ni okuru), “her” would be the direct object.

The particle “ni” (に): The particle “ni” can be used to mark the direction, time, or the indirect object of a sentence.

An example of a direction marker can be seen in the previous example “I’m going to take her home” (watashi wa kanojo wo ie ni okuru). In this case, the “ni” acts like a “to” – “I’m going to take her ‘to’ home”. The particle “e” (へ) can be used in this way as well but usually implies more of a general direction as opposed to a specific places.

The particle “ni” is also used to mark time in a sentence. For example, “I’m leaving at 3 o’clock” (watashi wa sanji ni hanareru).

The final use for the particle “ni” is that of indirect object marker. In the example, “I was taken home by him” (watashi wa kare ni ie made okurareta), “him” is the indirect object.
